The E-BikeKit electric bike conversion kit system will work with any 36v or 48v e-bike battery pack.
Please be aware that at 48 volts the system is capable of speeds (30MPH top speed with a 26” wheel) which exceed Federal EBike Laws and your bike may become classified as a “motor vehicle”. At 36 volts the E-Bike Conversion Kit is within the speed limitation guidelines (20MPH unassisted on flats with 150 pound rider) established by the U.S. Federal Electric Bike Law, and in most states, no license, registration or insurance is required.

Every wheel is stress tested during the building process. This ensures that your new E-BikeKit wheel will be true, round and perfect out of the box.

The two types of hub motors offered by E-BikeKit are "geared"(using internal nylon gears) and "direct-drive"(using two sets of rare-earth magnets) motors.
Each motor has unique properties that may be more suitable for you. Choosing the best option for you will depend on your riding style.

If you plan on pedaling more than using the battery and you want your bike to remain more of a conventional bicycle then the 350w geared motor is likely a better choice.
If you plan on using the battery more, desire a higher top speed and more power then the 500w direct-drive motor is for you.
